Registration of Tour Operators and Travel Agents

1. Companies/ Agencies in the business of Adventure Tourism can register with Indian Mountaineering Foundation.
2. The benefits envisaged for the company are as follows: -

(a) Company’s contact would be hosted on IMF web-site with a link to company’s web-site.

(b) IMF would make available the information on the Foreign Groups applying for expeditions in India.

(c) A complimentary copy of IMF journal ‘Indian Mountaineer’.

(d) Hosting of company’s advertisement on IMF web-site and journal at discounted rates.

3. Documents to be submitted and the associated formalities are as follows: -

(a) Application on company’s letter-head.

(b) Memorandum of Association showing the details of office bearers
and activities of your agency.

(c) Attested copy of registration under the Companies Act.

(d) Proof of recognition by the Central/ State Government Tourism Department.

(e) Proof of registration with Adventure Tour Operators Association of India.

(f) Undertaking that the company would abide by the Advisory/Precaution/Recommendations on conduct of adventure activities, stipulated by IMF and that the Safety of Clients and Environmental Issues would not be jeopardised by the company, what so ever.

(g) Bank Draft for Rs. 8500/- in favour of Indian Mountaineering Foundation, New Delhi. (Rs. 1000 as one time registration fee and Rs. 7500/- as annual service charges).
