Team 1: French

Leader: Urban Jean-Noel, with Malaherbe Pierre and Grosheitsch Florence

Summary

This team climbed the standard route, the northeast ridge to the top. Two members reached the summit on 18 th June 2003 from camp at 6000 m straight to the top. The leader, Urban descended the mountain from the summit by skis. They had excellent weather and climbed in the Alpine style.

Team 2: German Austrian

Leader: Ludwick Siegfried (9 members)

Summary

The team with 9 other members made base camp at foot of Satopanth on 31st May and established two more camps by 7 th June. However, they reached a maximum height of 6250 m and finding too much snow and dangerous avalanche conditions, gave up the climb.

Team 3: Slovanian - Mongolian Expedition

Leader: Jernej Bevk (6 members)

Summary

The team climbed this popular peak on the Gangotri glacier and reached the summit on 4 th November 2003 in a 9-hours push. They climbed by northeast ridge route and the summiteers were leader with Kremelj Sano, Cuder Tine, Blagus Rok.
